Programs

The Volunteer Center of Morgan County mobilizes people and resources to address the issues that are important to the community and strengthens the capacity of local organizations to meet community needs through volunteerism.

We involve all sectors of our population in service. Martin Luther King Said, "everyone can be great because everyone can serve." This saying has been the philosophy of our organization. We set objectives each year to measure our success in reaching our goal.

We recruited and referred 6,000 adult volunteers during 2006, to help the agencies serving Morgan County. The Volunteer Center received 1,267 requests in 2006 - 707 requested were helped by the Volunteer Center and 560 requests were referred to agencies.  124 donations were received and distributed back to the community.
